Hi, I’m David Lindskoog.

When I’m not filling these pages with words, I’m working as a career counsellor/advisor at Simon Fraser University and a counsellor at Oak Counselling Services in British Columbia, Canada. I have the privilege of working with a population of youth that’s facing a lot of challenge and misunderstanding, and I wouldn’t change a thing! Even though I don’t believe in the concept of a dream job, it’s pretty great to help people get inspired and engaged in their career and life.

Most of my writing is inspired by my experiences in the helping professions – be it as a counsellor, a career advisor, or simply a human being. So, it’s not uncommon to find the occasional career advice article (although I try to avoid preaching, and usually end up asking a lot more questions than I answer). I also like to write about ideas and theories I’m captivated by, books or other media I’ve found thought provoking, and even the occasional short story!
